Evening Shift (United States of America)

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Production Operator III is responsible for executing a range of medical assembly and processing functions as part of the production team, which includes undertaking various technical assembly operations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage in processes that meet quality standards while actively monitoring the machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Rotate through the assembly line, performing all necessary production assembly tasks.
  • Conduct on-line and in-process visual inspections of products to verify compliance with specifications outlined in work orders and procedural guidelines.
  • Support the Team Leader and Technicians during product and/or machine transitions.
  • Operate equipment at or above expected performance levels.
  • Ensure assembled products adhere to quality benchmarks.
  • Identify and reject products that do not meet specifications.
  • Comply with safety regulations and standards.
  • May utilize various testing equipment for routine product and process evaluations.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Perform additional assembly and processing tasks as needed.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - local practices may apply.
  • Proficient in writing and reading.
  • Capable of sitting, standing, and bending as required.
  • Visual acuity and color perception are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Fine motor skills are necessary for assembly tasks.
  • Exposure to noise and chemical vapors may occur.
  • Experience with soldering fumes may be required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, Spanish, or meeting local language requirements.
  • A minimum of three months of assembly experience is required.
  • Ability to rotate through and perform all assembly line tasks, including those requiring precise motor skills.
  • Capable of visually inspecting work to ensure correct assembly.
  • Ability to follow instructions for repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Willingness to contribute process improvement suggestions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as a team member in assembling sterile medical products.
  • Must meet production line rate expectations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • For positions on Spanish-language lines, bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred.

COMPETENCIES

  • Experience in medical product assembly and machine monitoring.
  • Knowledge of quality specifications and inspection processes.
  • Proficient in equipment and machine operation.
  • Strong manual dexterity.
