Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform assembly operations under the guidance of experienced technicians
  • Read and follow production drawings and sample assemblies
  • Position and align parts in specified relationships to each other
  • Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place
  • Mount assembled components on chassis panels
  • Connect component lead wires to printed circuits or route and connect wires between individual component leads and other components
  • Inspect and twist stripped wires together by hand to join designated colored wires
  • Secure core/coils using metal strapping, metal cutters, and band clippers
  • Assemble and attach hardware to assemblies
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color-coding parts and assemblies
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Normal working conditions absent extreme factors
  • Ability to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers and fellow employees
  • Ability to lift up to 45lbs periodically
  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years experience in electronics assembly
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers, customers, and vendors both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Strong desire to learn and be a problem solver
  • Must be punctual and eager to improve themselves and their surroundings
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word or Excel
  • Must maintain the highest levels of integrity
  • Experience using lean principles a plus
