Job Summary

The Legal Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting attorneys and paralegals in the litigation practice area. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage data in litigation repositories, electronic files, and firm applications.
  • Prepare and format draft documents, including answers, discovery documents, motions, and correspondence.
  • Assist case teams with briefing processes, including formatting, generating tables of contents, and authorities.
  • File documents electronically in various courts.
  • Maintain electronic Blackbooks with pleadings and discovery.
  • Track project timelines and manage deadlines.
  • Coordinate attorney calendars, organize meetings, and arrange travel and expense reports.
  • Coordinate agendas, schedules, and details for client/association events.
  • Coordinate depositions with all parties involved.
  • Format and edit complex documents accurately and efficiently.
  • Implement scheduling priorities based on detailed and general instructions.
  • Enter, review, and release time entries.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree required; Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to facilitate clear and concise communication with others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team that encourages diversity and innovation.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, exhibit sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to exhibit problem-solving skills and demonstrate initiative and accountability.
