Job Summary

This position will follow our hybrid work model, with the selected candidate expected to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of our office locations: St. Petersburg, FL

As a Lead Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for improving the stability and efficiency of our SiteCore platform and additional technologies that support our public and private facing company websites.

You will work as a liaison between IT Marketing software team and Raymond James infrastructure work centers, acting as the primary subject matter expert and central point for current operations, upgrades, and system improvements that impact the SiteCore application and company facing sites.

Extensive contact with internal customers, other technology professionals, and vendors is required to identify, research, analyze, and resolve system issues and problems.

You will take the role of primary resource for complex or escalated issues and may provide direction and guidance to team members and other work centers in IT.

Applying specialized business knowledge and technical skills to significant deliverables and projects that involve multiple IT departments, business units, and have enterprise impact.

Handles complex problems independently and demonstrates analytical thinking, making judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain complex systems.
  • Perform implementations and upgrades in compliance with security guidelines.
  • Ensure availability, security, and integrity of assigned systems.
  • Assist with designing and deploying monitors for systems, including setting alerts and self-remediation to maintain the stability of the environment and monitoring error logs. Troubleshoots or escalates issues as needed.
  • Evaluate and identify ways to automate, streamline, and improve day-to-day maintenance and administrative practices and partners with other work centers to achieve desired results.
  • Install or coordinate installation of patches and releases on development, test, pre-production, and production systems.
  • Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding application availability.
  • Serve as central point of contact and as a liaison to other IT departments and vendors regarding installations, server maintenance, licensing, and upgrade issues.
  • Effectively manage communication between end users, vendors, and IT departments to solve production, pre-production, test, and t environment problems quickly.
  • Create and maintain accurate system run book for assigned systems.
  • Maintain current description and documentation of application configuration, including tracking and documenting any changes to environments.
  • Assist in capacity planning, performance monitoring, and tuning on assigned systems.
  • Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including assisting with fault tolerance and disaster recovery plans.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Engage in training team members to provide improved analytics on system performance and provide improved dashboarding and single pane of glass to evaluate systems to admins and customers.

Qualifications

Knowledge of

  • SiteCore installation, upgrades, troubleshooting, configuration.
  • Java runtime environments with tuning, troubleshooting, configuration.
  • Website creation and administration in IIS including certificate deployment.
  • Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.
  • Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
