Role Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for ensuring optimal reimbursement and enhancing the daily operations of the revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely responses to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a multi-departmental team to address billing inquiries.
  • Offer a range of revenue cycle support services related to daily operations.
  • Process and follow up on payer issues with various entities to ensure resolution.
  • Investigate and resolve straightforward account activities.
  • Communicate billing methods and principles to customers and address their concerns.
  • Engage in the account flow throughout the revenue cycle process.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the revenue cycle system and associated accounts.
  • Work collectively with the team to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Manage priority accounts using the designated worklist.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable utilizing reports created by management.

Qualifications:

Education:
A high school diploma is required.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience in revenue cycle management is preferred.

Certification:
No specific certification is required.

Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient understanding of Revenue Cycle systems.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to comprehend and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Language Proficiency:
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to engage in office activities, including remaining stationary for extended periods, stooping, kneeling, traveling around the office, communicating verbally and in writing, and utilizing fine motor skills such as keyboarding.

Work Environment:
The work environment is consistent with a standard office setting, characterized by a low noise level and minimal extraordinary environmental factors.
