Position Overview

The role involves conducting thorough field assessments on both residential and commercial properties characterized by diverse terrains. The primary objective is to accurately identify the positions of subterranean utilities utilizing advanced equipment such as Electromagnetic Locators (EM) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR). Findings must be meticulously documented in comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations to assess site utilities on various properties.
  • Utilize Electromagnetic Locators (EM) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to pinpoint underground utility locations.
  • Compile detailed reports based on investigation findings.
  • Operate survey-grade GPS systems effectively.
  • Adapt to complex work environments, including seasonal outdoor conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Be prepared for travel commitments of up to two weeks.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Qualifications

  • Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Electromagnetic Locators (EM) is preferred.
  • Understanding of common utility infrastructure.
  • Background in construction, electrical work, plumbing, or hydro-vac operations.
