Job Overview

Position Title: Senior Sous Chef/Garde Manger Chef

Reports To: Director of Culinary Operations

Salary Range: $85,000 to $100,000

Additional Compensation: Performance Bonus

This role is integral to the Culinary Department, focusing on high-quality food preparation and presentation.

Role Summary

As the Senior Sous Chef/Garde Manger Chef, you will play a crucial role in the effective management of the Culinary Department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the oversight of food preparation and cooking processes.
  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef to design and implement innovative menu items.
  • Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Managing inventory and assisting with procurement of ingredients.

This position is ideal for a dynamic culinary expert with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Executive Chef in managing food costs and operational budgets.
  • Contribute to menu planning and execution of catering events.
  • Implement new culinary initiatives in partnership with marketing and culinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary certification.
  • Progressive experience in culinary management.
  • Experience in high-volume catering environments is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of food trends, quality control, and sanitation practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and culinary software.
  • ServSafe certification is preferred.
