Job Summary

The School of Civil & Environmental Engineering invites applications for a Research Engineer I position within Dr. Lauren Stewart's laboratory, focusing on areas such as blast engineering, mechanical shock, hazards engineering, and computational mechanics.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in research initiatives concerning energy dissipation, concrete structures, and blast/impact loading under the supervision of principal investigators.
  2. Assist graduate students in their research endeavors and manage undergraduate research assistants.
  3. Prepare documentation and publications related to research findings.
  4. Contribute to grant and contract proposal development.
  5. Support laboratory organization and scheduling.
  6. Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience in designing and executing large-scale structural experiments.
