We are looking for a driven and skilled Junior Software and Data Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team. As a Junior Solutions Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our clients, engaging directly with them to comprehend their needs, advise on best practices, and design innovative solutions to tackle their technical challenges. This position requires both teamwork and the ability to work independently, often interfacing directly with customers.

The ideal candidate will be highly responsive to client needs, proactively addressing technical and organizational challenges throughout the project lifecycle. Exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a consultative approach to resolving complex technical issues are essential. Experience in software engineering, data integration, data modeling, SQL proficiency, and business analysis is required.

While this role primarily operates in a remote virtual setting, occasional travel may be necessary for on-site engagements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of software applications and tools to support data engineering initiatives.
  • Utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting to provide insights that aid business decision-making.
  • Support the implementation of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Develop and maintain data models to ensure data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Support the implementation of cloud-based solutions.
  • Conduct data analysis and ensure data quality and integrity across various platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues while providing support for data inquiries.
  • Consult with clients to capture, document, and analyze business requirements and rules.
  • Regularly interface with customers to ensure satisfaction and promptly address any issues.
  • Manage daily tasks within a hybrid-remote virtual environment with occasional travel as needed.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required (STEM curriculum preferred)

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting; Tableau experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data ingestion using ETL/ELT, scripts, or stored procedures.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data solutions.
  • Familiarity with the .NET framework, relational databases, and a good understanding of Python, C#, HTML, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with ASP.NET or MVC and knowledge of front-end languages, such as Angular or other frameworks, will be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and data structures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
