Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Plant Equipment Operator to join our team at Eco Material Technologies Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and performing site work based on accepted company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring accurate inventory levels and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor and record levels of fly ash in silos, placing orders as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Pull samples of fly ash from loads and silos for testing, performing required tests to ensure quality standards.
  • Load trucks, rail cars, or barges with fly ash directly from the silo, ensuring accurate weighing and documentation.
  • Unload trucks, rail cars, or other delivery systems to fill fly ash silos, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Weigh trucks and rail cars, recording information in relevant operating systems or production sheets, and creating tickets for billing.
  • Operate all loading equipment, including water trucks, dump trucks, vacuum trucks, or forklifts, as required.
  • Start up and shut down production equipment, ensuring smooth operations and minimal downtime.
  • Assist in the disposal operation, performing tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Perform maintenance on grounds, equipment, and facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Responsible for all paperwork and reports, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility are essential for this role.
  • Report any safety, quality, or equipment maintenance issues to supervisors, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Assist with maintenance repairs and projects, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with training or certification in a relevant skill or trade.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a relevant field, with a strong understanding of plant operations and safety procedures.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
  • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out.
  • Prolonged standing or sitting in a stationary position.
  • Occasional climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Repetitive movements, bending, or twisting.
  • Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to move or traverse about the facilities.
  • Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision, and hardhat protection).
