Job Overview

Position Title: Mechanical Assembly Specialist III

Reports To: Assembly Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities

All Levels:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in fabrication, welding, and repair of metal structures, including both steel and aluminum.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform maintenance and repairs as instructed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality system processes and Inspection Test Plans.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
  • Participate actively in daily safety meetings.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other employees.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Compensation:

Assembly - $23.13/hour

  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a mechanical assembly setting or proven proficiency in assembly procedures.

Level I - $26.17/hour

  • At least one (1) year of experience in a mechanical assembly environment or demonstrated basic proficiency in assembly tasks.

Level II - $28.00/hour

  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in mechanical assembly or demonstrated intermediate proficiency in assembly procedures.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Prepare for work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and part lists.
  • Assemble components as per specifications.

Level III - $29.84/hour

  • At least five (5) years' experience in mechanical assembly or demonstrated advanced proficiency in assembly tasks.
  • Possess advanced mechanical skills.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Prepare for work by studying assembly instructions, blueprints, and part lists.
  • Assemble components as per specifications.
  • Take responsibility for training and leading a small team of employees.

Working Environment

  • Normal manufacturing conditions with exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp tools, dust, fumes, and noise.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, talk, and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Operation of machinery requires safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and appropriate footwear.

The levels of this position are differentiated by increasing degrees of responsibilities, years of experience, professional skills, and quality of work. The level in which you qualify will be determined upon interview evaluation. Hourly pay rates are fixed.
