Salary Range: $27.99
Role Summary:
This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities related to the preparation, service, cleanup, and delivery of food items, adhering to HACCP guidelines for safe food handling. The position is essential in supporting the operations of hospital food and catering services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, mix, assemble, portion, serve, and store food in compliance with established guidelines.
- Operate dishwashing equipment, clean pots, and perform thorough cleaning tasks while following safety and sanitation protocols.
- Transport food, supplies, and equipment as directed.
- May serve as a cashier in the cafeteria, managing the cash register.
- Follow set-up and clean-up guidelines for assigned stations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma preferred or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred; prior experience in retail food service is advantageous.
Credentials: Required: Food Handlers Card - Washington.
Skills:
- Strong customer service abilities (Required).
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices (Required).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members (Required).
- Effective communication skills to perform the functions of this role safely and efficiently (Required).
Working Conditions:
- Frequent lifting of up to 22 lbs; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Continuous movement within the work area.
- Ability to operate in a noisy environment and near heated surfaces.
Mental/Visual Requirements:
Vision and hearing within normal limits are necessary for effective communication and task execution.
