Help Desk Support Specialist

Nabors is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Help Desk Support Intern to join our team. As a Help Desk Support Intern, you will provide technical support and assistance to internal customers, resolving routine troubleshooting issues and escalating complex problems to senior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Handle level 1 ticketing issues and escalate complex problems to senior team members as necessary.
- Provide technical support and assistance to internal customers, resolving routine troubleshooting issues.
- Document steps taken for resolving routine requests and maintain customer history using appropriate documentation methods.
- Maintain composure and a professional manner at all times, including in stressful situations with clients.
- Work directly with clients to troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause of problems.
- Must be enrolled in college in a computer science, information systems curriculum or related field.
- Experience in installing, administering and maintaining Microsoft Office applications, desktop operating systems and PCs preferred.
- Possesses working knowledge of standard end-user hardware and software.
- Able to address most issues by following established procedures.
- Proven ability to work within a team environment as well as independently, multi-task.
- Adapt to frequent change.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- General understanding and knowledge of basic computer networking principles and design.
- Analytical, interpretive, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
The Help Desk Support Intern will work in an office environment and will be required to sit frequently. The employee may occasionally stand, walk and use hands. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
