HR Operations Leader

The HR Operations Leader is accountable for overseeing the comprehensive human resources functions, which encompass talent acquisition, onboarding and offboarding processes, employee engagement, retention strategies, adherence to legal regulations, compensation and benefits administration, workplace safety, records management, and the formulation of employee policies and procedures. This role involves directly managing a team of seven HR specialists, focusing on their output, performance, growth, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of six associates, guiding them in their daily tasks and project execution while fulfilling other supervisory duties.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant federal and multi-state employment regulations.
- Establish and nurture relationships with vendor partners.
- Formulate recruitment strategies to attract talent from both internal and external sources.
- Oversee existing programs for onboarding, employee retention, and offboarding.
- Advise and coach the Leadership Team on employment law, company policies, talent management, and performance documentation.
- Support leadership in executing effective Workforce & Salary Planning and Management processes.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace culture and employee engagement.
- Develop and manage the company’s learning and development strategy.
- Oversee internal communication strategies related to HR matters.
- Manage HR technology systems, including Sage HRMS, bswift Benefit Administration, and ADP Workforce Now Payroll.
- Prepare monthly operational reports detailing headcount, progress on key priorities, and trends in recruitment and retention.
- Design and manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure compliance and equity while staying informed on industry trends.
- Review and update company policies, processes, and practices as necessary.
- Conduct investigations into potential legal or policy violations, as well as unethical behavior.
- Represent the organization in matters related to workers' compensation claims, unemployment claims, and litigation.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Five to seven years of experience in a similar role, with up to two years in a supervisory capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred current SHRM or HRCI certification.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective engagement with diverse stakeholders, both in-person and remotely.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Exhibit sound judgment, confidentiality, discretion, and integrity while navigating complex and sensitive issues.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching others collaboratively.
- Proficient in HR systems with a quick learning aptitude.
