Position Overview:

Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is seeking a District Project Manager. This role is designed for candidates who can operate in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical elements of medium-sized electrical assembly project orders, ensuring adherence to customer specifications and timelines.
  • Engage in both the technical (electrical/mechanical) aspects of significant project orders and manage the timelines of deliverables effectively.
  • Work autonomously on daily tasks while collaborating with the field sales team, utilizing centralized resources for documentation and commercial requirements.

The objective is to enhance value and establish a robust project order management process that distinguishes Eaton from competitors while optimizing financial outcomes for both Eaton and its clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage assigned project orders to enhance value and improve financial outcomes.
  • Organize and lead transition meetings with field sales, project coordinators, and manufacturing teams for all assigned projects.
  • Implement project management methodologies to support financial aspects and timelines of assigned project orders.
  • Review project specifications and contracts for technical accuracy prior to order entry.
  • Manage technical changes to the bill of materials.
  • Utilize centralized resources for documentation package creation and conduct necessary reviews.
  • Provide technical support and address warranty issues.
  • Represent sales during customer inspections and approval meetings.
  • Ensure proactive communication of accurate information to and from customers.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Engineer to analyze project details, including establishing fiscal baselines.
  • Establish communication protocols with customers and maintain a central repository for each project.
  • Work with EatonCare and plants for compliance and submittals.
  • Review and implement changes based on submittal review comments.
  • Track estimated ship dates and communicate changes to customers promptly.
  • Resolve issues related to changes, scheduling, and delivery with plants and customers.
  • Close out projects from both fiscal and documentation perspectives.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the electrical industry.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Electrical Engineering.
  • PMP certification.
  • Five or more years of project management experience.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to present information persuasively and assertively.
  • Demonstrated ownership of assignments and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Capability to apply project management methodologies to mitigate project risks.
  • Advanced computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and project management software.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Compensation: The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentives, with a target total compensation range of $97,500 - $143,000, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
