About the Job

Murray Equipment, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team in the North Central territory. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing profitability from assigned markets and territories for the distribution and manufacturing of fluid handling equipment and automated controls to the Agricultural Industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote product awareness within assigned markets and territories.
  • Receive customer inquiries and perform follow-up procedures, including providing price quotes, new product information, and receiving feedback regarding company products and services.
  • Conduct initial site surveys and perform needs assessments.
  • Collaborate with customers and business partners to determine project goals and objectives.
  • Generate preliminary flow diagrams and drawings.
  • Acquire customer approval of flow diagrams and time estimates.
  • Acquire customer acceptance, including approval of flow diagrams and quotations.
  • Follow up with sales leads generated through incoming calls, advertising campaigns, and other promotional efforts.
  • Travel to customer locations to present company products, training, services, and pricing information in a professional manner.
  • Contact prospective and current customers to solicit sales of company products and services.
  • Apply technical knowledge of company products and services to best meet customer engineered solutions.
  • Provide current and prospective customers with the most accurate information regarding our products and services.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate corporate resources.
  • Collaborate with the Credit Manager to identify the most appropriate credit and payment terms.
  • Maintain appropriate records for the development of sales forecasts for the territory.
  • Submit appropriate paperwork on a timely basis to management, including territory forecasts, expense reports, and call reports.
  • Understand and support company sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective service to all customers and foster the development of long-term business relationships.
  • Assist and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner, notify management of problems, and suggest corrective actions.
  • Collect and report competitive information to management.
  • Attend training activities and trade shows on behalf of the company to present information regarding company products and services.
  • Assist in regional marketing efforts.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Technical College or Equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of business sales/marketing or equivalent field experience in the Ag Industry and pumping systems, hydraulics, or liquid flow meters.
  • Valid Passport and Driver's License.
Compensation
