Job Summary

GAT Airline Ground Support is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Airport Customer Service Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for passengers, this role requires exceptional customer service skills, proficiency in computer systems, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting and assisting customers, announcing flights, handling transactions, and operating jetways. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential in resolving customer complaints and providing accurate information. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your customer service skills and work in a dynamic team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner over the phone and in person.
  • Announce both incoming and outbound flights.
  • Handle credit cards, personal checks, and collect payments with accuracy.
  • Process checked baggage weighing up to 100 lbs. and place it on conveyor belts.
  • Operate jetways to position them prior to aircraft arrival and secure aircraft doors.
  • Use airline computer systems to provide flight information, ticketing documents, lost or damaged baggage documentation, and cargo tracking information.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English language.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Possess good communication skills and a friendly personality.
  • Entry-level computer skills required.
  • Lift bags or items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds occasionally.
  • Pass an extensive post-offer pre-employment background check.
  • Will work nights, weekends, and holidays.
