Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area HR Director to join our team at US Foods. As a trusted advisor to our Area Staff and local management teams, you will play a critical role in driving field execution and supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Business Results: Collaborate with Business Leaders to influence business strategy and drive achievement of key results for the area.
  • HR Strategy and Execution: Ensure alignment of HR strategy with business objectives and participate in key meetings with Business Leaders to bring HR expertise to business/operational discussions.
  • Talent Management: Drive improvement in overall team performance and direct talent planning/management, including supporting employee performance improvement planning and conducting investigations of complex Employee Relations and HR matters.
  • Employee Relations: Advise Area Leaders on complex employee relations issues and manage risk effectively, participate in the termination approval process, and support culture change initiatives.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead the HR team for the area, demonstrate people leader skills, and engage effectively with Functional Partners and HR Centers of Excellence.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of Human Resources experience, with increasing levels of responsibility, including support for senior-level business.
  • Certifications/Training: PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid driver's license required and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
