About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Ardent Health. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming Patients: Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our organization.
  • Phone and Scheduling: Answer phone calls in a timely and efficient manner, schedule appointments, and take accurate messages for our staff members.
  • Registration and Insurance: Review patient information, obtain and update personal, financial, and insurance details in our electronic health record system.
  • Payment and Data Entry: Receive payments for co-pays, co-insurance, and outstanding balances, and complete same-day data entry tasks, including coding and registration edits.
  • Environment and Compliance: Maintain a clean and professional environment in the waiting room and work area, adhering to all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and compliance.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills are essential for this role.
  • Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic health record systems.
  • Insurance and Medical Knowledge: Basic understanding of insurance, referrals, and medical records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Medical Office Experience: Previous experience working in a medical office environment.
