About the Role:
The Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) is integral to AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS), focusing on driving revenue and growth for a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to large enterprises, including public sector entities.

Our approach is centered on understanding and addressing our customers' most pressing challenges, enabling us to develop and implement go-to-market strategies that transform AWS concepts into substantial business opportunities.

As a member of the WWSO, you will play a crucial role in guiding the entire lifecycle of AWS customer initiatives, from conceptualizing new services to enhancing the adoption of existing solutions. We pride ourselves on our innovative mindset, delivering outstanding results, and collaborating across AWS as a unified team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy and execution for Enterprise Applications, Migration, and Modernization utilizing Container technologies in North America, working closely with Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other specialists.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of Container and Serverless technologies to identify and address critical customer challenges in your region, empowering aligned teams to deliver effective solutions.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to expand market presence, create scalable programs to boost adoption, and uncover new opportunities within your area of expertise.
  • Establish and pursue objectives aimed at fostering long-term growth in your region while achieving or surpassing key performance indicators.
  • Gather customer insights and market feedback to inform the development of features and services that align with customer needs.
  • Prepare and present regular business reviews and operational plans for your technical domain and region.
  • Enhance geographical reach through collaboration with external partners; work alongside cross-functional teams to implement customer acquisition strategies.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in go-to-market strategies, sales, or consulting.
  • 5+ years of experience in Application Migration and Modernization with Containers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record as a trusted technology advisor to executive-level clients.
  • Experience negotiating complex agreements with clients and partners.
  • Familiarity with a matrixed sales environment, including the development and execution of growth initiatives.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or management information systems is advantageous.
