About the Role

Zivaro is seeking a highly skilled Linux Systems Administrator II to support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II) at the Cheyenne Mountain Complex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert-level systems administration and integration support for complex Linux environments.
  • Administer, update, and troubleshoot air warning, missile warning, and space defense systems development/test environments.
  • Recommend and implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability, including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • Manage the internal administration, maintenance, and management of capacity resources for the integrated NISSC development environment at the Government Test Development Facility.
  • Set up and manage Linux and Windows systems, applications, and environments, ensuring compliance with government security standards.
  • Build, configure, troubleshoot, and integrate new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
  • Troubleshoot network hardware and software applications, OS upgrades, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
  • Monitor performance, system usage, and backup and recovery.
  • Familiarity with storage appliances and configurations.
  • Experience with VMware and the ability to analyze and optimize.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and processes.
  • Experience implementing patches, scanning, remediating findings, auditing.
  • Support operating system patching in compliance with security policy and procedures.
  • Support software deployments to customer sites.
  • Ensure lab configuration management.
  • Manage tickets and resolution of issues identified by lab users.
Requirements
  • Clearance: Secret
  • Certification: IAT Level II Certification (Sec+) and Linux RedHat Certified System Administrator
  • 5 years of directly related experience
  • 7 years general work experience
  • Experience in Systems Administration of complex applications on Unix/Linux platforms.
  • Expert with Linux/Unix system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up.
  • Experience with Information Assurance policies and procedures and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system, experience with applying group policies from Active Directory environment impacting Linux OS.
  • Ability to write scripts in Perl, bash shell, and Expect languages or equivalent (developing, debugging, and maintaining).
  • Experience with configuring, analyzing, and troubleshooting clustered and virtual Oracle (Sun) and Linux-based servers.
Desired Qualifications
  • TS/SCI Clearance
  • Technical aptitude and ability to administer Network services including Active Directory, LDAP, Radius, NPS.
  • Understanding of network services including DNS, DHCP, NPS, and relation to Linux Operating Systems.
  • Authentication services including LDAP, Active Directory, Radius, NPS.
  • Server support including Linux and VMWare.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and accurately identify root cause of infrastructure issues.
  • Creation of custom scripts/programming for customer and administrative needs.
  • Familiarity with network administration, switches, configuring for host security, availability, and throughput.
  • Linux IPA including LDAP, DNS, Kerberos, addressing any directory services requirements.
  • Filesystem management on large fiber-channel RAID storage arrays, Linux kernel config, and tuning.
  • Customization of Linux servers for use with large RAID disk arrays.
  • Skills/understanding of Microsoft server and OS products that connect and support Linux-based systems.
  • Experience with VMWare installation and configuration and Systems Administration of ESXi hosts, deploying and configuring VMware vCenter, configuring virtual storage using ISCSI and NFS storage.
