L3 Technologies is seeking a skilled Linux System Administrator to join a dynamic and dedicated team. The selected candidate will collaborate with various departments in a technical environment to oversee and sustain information systems.
Our solutions in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) cater to a diverse range of governmental, civil, and commercial clients, enhancing information superiority and contributing to national security while delivering actionable insights for safeguarding assets and lives. We excel in providing high-reliability airborne and space-based remote sensing payloads that facilitate active and motion imaging, alongside data processing, exploitation, and dissemination. Additionally, we offer solutions that map and monitor the earth for various commercial and governmental stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to mission success, possess strong communication abilities, and exhibit a keen willingness to learn. Furthermore, experience in supporting help desks for Linux and UNIX-based systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, operate, and maintain Linux-based applications.
- Monitor Kubernetes nodes and pods effectively.
- Track data flow within mission-critical systems.
- Execute mission software update deployments into Kubernetes clusters.
- Conduct troubleshooting and resolve anomalies.
- Perform database monitoring and administration tasks.
- Provide on-call support, including during non-standard hours.
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Active Secret security clearance is mandatory.
- At least 6 years of experience with Linux-based operating systems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to multitask and prioritize under pressure.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Postgres, SQL, and team collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $76,500 - $142,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amounts may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3 Technologies also provides a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
