About the Role

Cascades Verdae is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead our senior living community. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for creating a vibrant and engaging living environment for our residents and a great place to work for our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct the community to achieve exceptional quality and service, sustained resident satisfaction, team member engagement, operational efficiency, and strong financial results.
  • Attract, retain, coach, motivate, and lead a high-performance management team who collectively directs day-to-day operations of the community.
  • Develop and monitor the community's annual operating budget and business plan, ensuring achievement of financial targets, quality standards, resident satisfaction, and team member engagement.
  • Serve as the Chief Sales Officer for the community, leading and directing activities of the sales team to ensure effective lead management, execution of the marketing plan, and achievement of occupancy goals.
  • Partner with directors to ensure that service delivery in each department is consistent with Cascades Verdae's standards and applicable regulations.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication strategies throughout the community, ensuring timely and effective sharing of information and a culture of openness.
  • Lead and participate in the planning and execution of effective orientation for new team members and ongoing learning and development of team members through in-services and other training programs.
  • Participate in family and resident communications to ensure strong relationships and open exchange of information, holding staff accountable for proactive, positive communications with residents and their families.
  • Establish and implement safety protocols in the community, setting a strong example and holding team members accountable for practicing a culture of safety.
  • Continuously monitor the building, grounds, and surrounding areas to ensure that the community is a safe, clean, and attractive living environment for Cascades Verdae's residents and presents an exceptional impression for guests.
  • Supervise team members, including interviewing, hiring, and training, planning, assigning, and directing work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
  • Serve on special projects and assignments outside of the community to support other communities or the broader portfolio.
  • Stay abreast of trends and best practices throughout the senior living industry and of current events and conditions in the local market, keeping management informed.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations and Cascades Verdae's mission policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Effectively administer and participate in Cascades Verdae's Manager on Duty program.
  • Participate in and attend all in-service training and education programs as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, geriatrics, healthcare, hospitality, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in a senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or related setting, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of five years' leadership experience in senior living and/or a multidisciplinary team environment, operations experience in a senior living, hospitality, or residential care environment strongly preferred.
  • In communities with healthcare/skilled nursing, Nursing Home Administrator license strongly preferred.
  • Maintain state licensing requirements, where applicable.
