Business Development Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Representative to join our team at MSI. As a key member of our sales organization, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our customer base in your assigned geographic territory.
Job Description- Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential customers to grow sales and increase market share.
- Provide training and support to customers on MSI's products, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge to effectively promote and sell our solutions.
- Understand and stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market dynamics to position MSI's products for success.
- Manage displays, samples, and selling tools to ensure they are available and effective in customer locations.
- Analyze retail business financials to provide consultation on pricing, advertising, promotions, and return on investment (ROI) strategies.
- Prepare quotes, discuss credit terms, and finalize sales contracts for customer orders.
- Estimate delivery dates based on company schedules and communicate with customers accordingly.
- Review and analyze sales reports to identify opportunities for growth and new customer acquisition.
- Broaden reach in the territory and promote MSI's products through various marketing tools, including catalogs, brochures, and vendor collateral.
- Research and analyze customer needs and demands based on market information.
- Investigate and resolve customer claims and issues related to deliveries, returns, and credits.
- Attend trade shows as required and travel locally, nationally, or internationally (up to 75% of the time).
- Bachelor's degree required; two plus years' experience in channel distribution sales and a minimum of two years' related industry experience in natural stone, slab, or hard flooring industries.
- Strong math skills and ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Results-oriented and able to work independently and within a team environment.
- Intermediate computer proficiency and valid driver's license.
- Willingness to travel and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
