Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Relief Nursery Program Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for supervising and training Home Visitors and Teachers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to families. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Training
    • Directly supervise and train assigned Home Visitors and Teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet program policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations, develop work plans, and provide coaching to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Monitor staff performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to address these gaps.
  • Management and Coordination
    • Collaborate with the Program Manager to plan and provide necessary training and support to Home Visitors and Teachers.
    • Develop and implement effective tracking systems for case assignment, ensuring that assessments, evaluations, and documentation are properly collected and submitted.
    • Review cases to identify potential risks and refer them to the Program Director and Protective Services as necessary.
  • Volunteer and Intern Program Support
    • Support the work of FBB volunteers and interns, providing learning opportunities and acknowledging their contributions to the program.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, or completion of 15 credits in early childhood education or child development.
  • Proven experience in supervising and motivating staff, with a strong understanding of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, and maternal-infant health.
  • Experience implementing family-centered and strength-based services for families, with a focus on the 0-3 age population.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's license, Pediatric First Aid/CPR card, and Food Handler's card, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish/English proficiency.
