Position Duties:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to clients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health conditions through interviews, tests, and collaboration with other professionals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical expertise and client needs.
  • Engage in regular supervision with the Behavioral Health Supervisor to ensure best practices and ethical conduct.
  • Utilize Therapeutic Behavior Supports (TBS) as required to support clients' progress.
  • Assist clients in preparing materials for their treatment programs, fostering their active participation.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records according to professional and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure confidentiality of client information and prepare documentation for discharge planning and aftercare referrals.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines in clinical work, consulting with the supervisor as needed.
  • Comply with agency policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations, to protect sensitive information.
  • Participate actively in orientation, compliance training, staff meetings, and development programs to enhance professional growth.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and reliable attendance to ensure consistent support for clients.
  • Provide telehealth services as appropriate to expand access to care.
  • Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive client support.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate creativity and composure in handling challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Utilize technology effectively to implement behavioral strategies and enhance treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities is essential.
  • Valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Maintain current professional licensure and/or certification.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to accommodate client needs.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively.
  • Ability to guide, influence, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with disabled individuals and their families based on trust and respect.
  • Possession of a valid Ohio Driver's License, personal vehicle, appropriate driving record, and insurance coverage (as required by policy and/or insurance carriers).
