In this role, you will engage in an embedded technology environment to design, develop, integrate, and test software for our end-user clientele and business operations. You will be responsible for the design, architecture, application development, and flight simulation.

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test, will be essential in an Agile software development setting.

Your contributions to our simulation software are vital to both current and future company initiatives.

You will assess system capabilities to address challenges related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming methodologies, and controls.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in an innovative environment, tackling diverse assignments, and collaborating within team settings across all levels.
  • Participate in the complete software development life cycle, encompassing requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products to our clientele.
  • Architect and develop applications within a simulated training environment.
  • Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams to produce software products for multiple software baselines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with 9 years of relevant engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in STEM with 7 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - software design requirements, application development, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following programming or scripting languages: C, C++, and Python.
  • Experience with two or more of the following tools: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, Sonarqube, Fortify, or Coverity.
  • Must possess an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of C and C++ languages, including templates, memory management, and compiler/linker.
  • Familiarity with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), or High-Level Architecture (HLA).
  • Experience with Full-Motion Flight Training Systems.
  • Knowledge of simulated threat environments such as AFSIM or NGTS.
  • Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management.
