Lead Systems Testing Engineer

GradBay is in search of an experienced and driven Lead Systems Testing Engineer to become a vital member of our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in validating the performance and dependability of state-of-the-art aerospace technologies. Your responsibilities will encompass the formulation, integration, and execution of testing strategies and protocols, alongside diagnosing and rectifying issues to guarantee the effective implementation of advanced systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement thorough testing strategies, protocols, and scenarios for system verification and validation.
- Perform comprehensive system-level evaluations, which include hardware and software integration, functional assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Examine testing outcomes, determine underlying causes of discrepancies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address challenges.
- Ensure testing environments are correctly set up and maintained to facilitate testing operations.
- Compile and deliver detailed testing reports and documentation to relevant stakeholders.
- Engage in design assessments, offering insights on testability and confirming that testing criteria are fulfilled.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancement initiatives aimed at refining testing processes and methodologies.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, promoting a cooperative and inventive workplace culture.
Basic Qualifications:
This position may be filled at either a Lead or Senior Lead level.
Basic Qualifications for Lead:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with a BS Degree in a STEM Field, 3 years with a MS degree, or 0 years with a PhD in a STEM Field
Basic Qualifications for Senior Lead:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a STEM discipline
- A minimum of 9 years of engineering experience with a BS Degree in a STEM Field, 7 years with a MS degree, or 4 years with a PhD in a STEM Field
Basic Qualifications for both Lead and Senior Lead:
- Experience in a systems testing environment
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Must have the capability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable timeframe, as determined by the company to meet its operational needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience that encompasses test strategy formulation, execution, and operational oversight
- Active Special Program Access (SAP)
