Position Overview:

The Retirement Services Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional client support to our partners, intermediaries, and plan sponsors. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of retirement plans and Ascensus' offerings, aimed at assisting clients in effectively managing their retirement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:


• Safeguard and manage all confidential information held by Ascensus to prevent unauthorized access and ensure proper handling of sensitive data.


• Uphold the I-Client philosophy and embody the Core Values of People Matter, Quality First, and Integrity Always in daily operations.


• Continuously enhance knowledge of retirement plan regulations and Ascensus products to provide informed client service.


• Deliver proactive and consultative client service in a professional manner, ensuring high satisfaction levels.


• Foster effective working relationships with internal teams to facilitate superior service delivery and resolve client issues promptly.


• Ensure timely resolution of inquiries and maintain service level agreements.


• Conduct thorough research and problem-solving to address client concerns effectively.


• Communicate clearly and concisely with clients and advisors regarding services and resolutions throughout the service cycle.


• Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to develop strategies for client retention.


• Identify and mitigate risks through exceptional client service and communication with team members.


• Assist in managing vendor relationships on behalf of clients and partners.


• Anticipate client needs and recommend actionable changes in collaboration with the Relationship Manager.


• Meet individual and team objectives for service levels, growth, and retention within the assigned portfolio.


• Systematically document opportunity plans and collaborate with the Relationship Manager to address potential risks.


• Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding service delivery components and gather feedback for continuous improvement.


• Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure quality service to partners and clients.


• Review the status of assigned plans regularly to ensure commitments to clients are fulfilled.


• Assess client objectives and behaviors to recommend plan or product enhancements.


• Educate clients on plan features and Ascensus processes to enhance their understanding.


• Propose improvements and solutions to minimize risks and enhance processes for plan sponsors and financial professionals.


• Serve as a subject matter expert in specific areas, providing training and support to colleagues as needed.


• Engage in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

· Experience in client-facing roles and familiarity with the Retirement Services industry preferred.

· Progress towards industry-related certifications (e.g., ASPPA, CEBS) is advantageous.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all organizational levels.

· Excellent presentation, client service, and time management skills.

· Proven professionalism in all aspects of the role.

· Familiarity with financial services systems and plan recordkeeping processes.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel; Access and PowerPoint knowledge is a plus.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Understanding of retirement plans, ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations.

· Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment to achieve shared goals.

· Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

· Sound judgment in handling issues that may impact financial and client relations.

· Willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet business demands.

· Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

· Flexibility to undertake additional essential tasks as required.

The national average salary range for this role is $40K-80K in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits. Actual salary offered will vary based on factors such as location, experience, and performance. Additional rewards and benefits may include 401(k) match, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid-Time-Off.
