Position Overview:

The Retirement Service Consultant plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional client support to our partners, intermediaries, and plan sponsors. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of retirement plans and Ascensus' offerings, aimed at assisting clients in effectively managing their retirement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:


• Safeguard and manage all confidential information held by Ascensus to prevent unauthorized access and ensure compliance with data protection standards.


• Uphold the I-Client philosophy and embody the Core Values of People Matter, Quality First, and Integrity Always in daily interactions.


• Continuously enhance knowledge of retirement plan regulations and Ascensus' products and services.


• Deliver proactive and professional client service, ensuring high satisfaction levels.


• Foster strong working relationships with team members and internal departments to facilitate effective client service.


• Resolve inquiries and issues promptly while meeting established service levels.


• Conduct thorough research and problem-solving to address client concerns.


• Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and advisors regarding service delivery and issue resolution.


• Collaborate with the Relationship Manager to develop strategies that enhance client retention.


• Identify and mitigate risks through superior client service and maintain communication with the team to support client strategies.


• Assist in managing vendor relationships on behalf of clients.


• Anticipate client needs and recommend appropriate actions to enhance service delivery.


• Achieve individual and team objectives related to service levels and client retention.


• Document and address opportunities for improvement in collaboration with the Relationship Manager.


• Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding service delivery components.


• Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure quality service to clients and partners.


• Review the status of assigned plans' activities to ensure commitments are met.


• Assess client goals and suggest plan modifications to enhance outcomes.


• Educate clients on plan features and Ascensus' capabilities.


• Propose improvements and solutions to minimize risks and streamline processes.


• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide training to team members as needed.


• Participate in or lead special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

· Experience in client-facing roles within the Retirement Services sector is preferred.

· Progress towards industry certifications (e.g., ASPPA, CEBS) is advantageous.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

· Proficient presentation and client service skills, along with effective time management.

· Professional demeanor in all aspects of the role.

· Familiarity with financial services systems and retirement plan administration.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Knowledge of retirement plans, ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

· Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

· Sound judgment in handling sensitive business issues.

· Willingness to work extended hours as necessary.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

· Additional responsibilities as assigned.
