Role Overview:

This position is distinct from that of a Financial Advisor, as it focuses on providing financial education rather than direct financial advice.

As a Financial Coach, your primary responsibility will be to educate employees of our clients about their retirement plans, including 401(k) and 403(b) options. You will utilize our proprietary financial wellness platform, WellCents, to foster relationships and generate referrals to our wealth management advisory team. Your role will involve conducting both group and individual financial education sessions, with the aim of enhancing employee participation and increasing deferral elections while providing essential investment education. Travel is a component of this role, approximately 10-15%, which may include same-day or overnight trips within your designated area.

We provide comprehensive training and administrative support. While prior experience in financial or wealth services is not mandatory, we seek ambitious, collaborative self-starters who are eager to learn and drive positive outcomes for the employees of our corporate clients. This is a full-time opportunity that allows for a hybrid or remote work schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in advancing their career in advisory services and should be comfortable with public speaking, education, and providing guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and comfort in public speaking, coaching, and education.
  • Facilitate group and individual financial education meetings, both in-person and virtually.
  • Act as the primary contact for plan participants, leading financial education initiatives.
  • Deliver exceptional service by actively engaging with clients and their employees to meet service expectations.
  • Cross-sell various business lines and services offered by NFP.
  • Prepare thoroughly for meetings and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
  • Collaborate with NFP's internal ERISA teams to maintain compliance on client matters.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries, ensuring accurate and timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in building and managing client relationships; knowledge of retirement plans is preferred.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the capacity to make sound independent decisions.
  • Able to interact successfully with diverse personalities.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Possess technical expertise along with analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, demonstrating calmness and courtesy.
  • Attention to detail, strong decision-making capabilities, and effective problem resolution skills.

Education and Experience:

  • A college degree or relevant experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Experience in corporate environments, sales, education, project management, or administrative operations is advantageous.
