The Billing Specialist is a key member of the Inspiration Field team, responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our financial and billing functions. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Perform financial and billing functions, including submissions of private, State, and Medicaid insurance claims, and collecting co-pays.
- Assist with the overall billing process operations, including invoicing and accounts receivable management.
- Work with private pay-customers and various insurance carriers to resolve disputed claims and ensure timely payments.
- Verify the accuracy of proper coding for Medicaid/Medicare/Tricare claims.
- Complete invoicing, accounts receivable/payable for agency-related entities.
- Cross-train in the Finance area to learn various duties and responsibilities.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Experience utilizing EMR systems and 1 year of AR/Billing experience and billing insurance carriers in a healthcare setting.
- Licensed driver with reliable transportation.
The Billing Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment, with moderate to loud noise levels. The position requires working irregular or extended hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
