Position Summary:

The Outreach Specialist will cultivate and nurture relationships with various community stakeholders to enhance awareness of the WIOA program and boost participation rates. This role involves establishing and maintaining connections with partners, delivering presentations, participating in outreach initiatives, and conducting program orientations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster relationships with community partners and engage in local events.
  • Organize and participate in job fairs, resource fairs, and other outreach activities as directed.
  • Create promotional materials to inform employers about the program and services offered.
  • Achieve or surpass monthly enrollment targets.
  • Conduct research and outreach to employers, particularly those facing layoffs or closures.
  • Provide comprehensive WIOA program information to potential clients to recruit participants.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure client enrollment aligns with job placement objectives.
  • Maintain and update outreach databases on a weekly basis.
  • Document outreach efforts and report progress to the Project Director monthly.
  • Prepare weekly activity reports detailing progress towards monthly goals.
  • Facilitate WIOA Information Session Orientations.
  • Meet with clients to discuss available programs and determine eligibility.
  • Manage registration and enrollment schedules effectively.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Demonstrated ability to present to diverse audiences, both small and large.

Experience with social media and graphic design software is advantageous.

Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with database tracking systems is essential.

Strong verbal communication, customer service skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are crucial.

Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism in a team environment.

Additional Information:

All information will be kept confidential in accordance with EEO guidelines.

This position requires travel of approximately 20-25%. A valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance are necessary.

Participation in outreach events may require evening and weekend availability. The role involves extensive standing, sitting, and data entry, primarily in an office setting with flexible hours.
