Community Outreach Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Community Outreach Coordinator will build relationships with various community partners with the goal of advancing community understanding of the WIOA program and increasing program engagement. The Community Outreach Coordinator will establish and maintain stakeholder relationships, provide presentations, attend outreach events at community locations, conduct WIOA orientations and eligibility determination of applicants into the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Engagement: Builds relationships with various community partners and participates in community events.
- Event Planning and Execution: Conducts and attends community events, job fairs, resource fairs, onsite recruitment and outreach events as directed by the Project Director.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develops promotional material and content to provide to employers explaining the program and agency.
- Enrollment Goals: Meets/exceeds monthly enrollment goals.
- Research and Outreach: Researches and outreach to employers, specifically those who are doing layoffs or office closures.
- Client Recruitment: Provides WIOA program information to clients to recruit volunteer participants and enroll current referrals.
- Team Coordination: Coordinates with team to enroll clients to ensure job placement goals are met each month.
- Database Management: Ensures that the employer and community outreach databases are updated each week.
- Reporting and Documentation: Documents all outreach efforts and reports information to Project Director on a monthly basis.
- Weekly Progress Report: Prepares a report of weekly activities to include progress toward achieving monthly goals and objectives.
- WIOA Information Sessions: Conducts WIOA Information Session Orientations.
- Client Eligibility Determination: Meets with clients to discuss programs and services and complete eligibility determination.
- Registration and Enrollment Scheduling: Maintains registration and enrollment schedule.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing, or related field. An equivalent combination of acceptable related experience and training may be substituted on a year for year basis for the education requirement.
Skills and Abilities:
- Presentations: Demonstrates ability to give presentations to both small and large groups.
- Social Media and Animation: Social Media skills and experience with animation software or Photoshop is a plus.
- Computer Literacy: Must be computer literate and proficient with Excel and have the ability to work in other data base tracking systems.
- Communication and Customer Service: Strong comprehension, verbal communication, and customer service skills and able to meet deadlines on a timely basis.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to function effectively under pressure, remain professional and work well in a team setting.
- Bilingual: Bilingual a plus.
Additional Information:

Compensation and Benefits: This position starts at a firm hourly rate of $21.01/hr.
Travel Requirements: Travel 20-25%. Must have valid Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and must meet company driving standards.
Work Environment: Attends outreach events meet with employers in Milwaukee County and surrounding areas, which may require evening and weekend hours. Extensive standing, sitting, computer, phone, deskwork, and extensive data entry requires; work primarily in a defined office environment with specified hours, although flexible hours may be required; interacts one on one and in groups with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds.
