About the Role

The Data and Collaboration Platforms Division is responsible for conceptualising, implementing, and managing enterprise-wide data and collaboration solutions. As a member of the DCP Data team, you will be part of the team responsible for solutioning, development, support, and execution of enterprise data solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Enterprise/Application/Data Architects, Application Developers, platform administrators, and other IT network and infrastructure teams to run and operate data solutions.
  • Lead incident response, investigation, and resolution efforts by working closely with different stakeholders (vendors, development teams, infrastructure team, etc.) to support system availability.
  • Translate business requirements to technical solutions leveraging strong business acumen.
  • Responsible for designing and providing technical direction to data engineers, report developers, and database administrators.
  • Responsible for the quality assurance of all technical deliverables like data pipelines built using spark and distributed computing.
  • Manage, highlight, and resolve any design integration risks/issues with relevant business and stakeholders.
  • Provide deep technical expertise to work on solutions related to big data platforms and cloud-based implementations to ensure systems are developed as per standards.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in one or all the following areas:
  • Modern cloud-based data architectures, like building Lakehouse architecture.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS-based data engineering and reporting solutions.
  • Big Data management for Cloudera Data Platform.
  • Experienced in Dev-Ops processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as core fundamentals.
  • Data Engineering using spark, Python, and Informatica.
  • Application monitoring and operations.
  • Vendor management.
  • Must be organised, able to work with minimal supervision, flexible to work on different projects in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Possess strong information acquisition, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels with demonstrated ability to influence different stakeholders.
  • Knowledge in infrastructure such as network, server architecture is an added advantage.
