**Job Summary**

Connect Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer Lead to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for performing technical support tasks in electronics and/or engineering operations.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, and systems.
  • Independently design electronic circuits, components, and integrated systems, utilizing ferroelectric, nonlinear, dielectric, phosphorescent, photo-conductive, and thermoelectric properties of materials.
  • Design and develop test control apparatus and equipment.
  • Determine procedures for testing products.
  • Direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.
  • Direct field operations and maintenance of electronic installations.
  • Evaluate operational systems and recommend design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
  • Provide technical direction to less experienced personnel.
  • Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Work under minimal technical supervision of experienced senior personnel for daily and weekly tasks.
  • Participate in the research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Consult with other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
  • Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, testing, changes, and corrections.
  • Write documentation or review documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.
  • Support leading and mentoring of junior personnel.

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar field.
  • Six (6)+ years of experience in professional engineering design, to include:
  • Solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Working with mathematical concepts, including probability and statistical inference, plane and/or solid geometry, and plane and/or solid trigonometry.
  • Applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Writing routine reports, operating instructions, and correspondence.
  • Reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Speaking effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Participating in the research and analysis of customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
  • Consulting with other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), interface protocols (I/O), digital design using state-of-the-art microprocessors, analog, power, and/or RF design, and inertial navigation studies.

**Security Clearance**

Active Secret Security Clearance required.
