Position Overview

As a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will be pivotal in guiding clients through a range of complex projects, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and delivering precise financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the month-end closing activities, which includes managing the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, preparing and reviewing journal entries, conducting balance sheet reconciliations, and analyzing discrepancies in accounts.
  • Manage operational accounting functions, reconciliation processes, and reporting, while effectively communicating with business partners to resolve issues promptly.
  • Guarantee compliance with GAAP in all accounting practices.
  • Compile and evaluate monthly and quarterly financial reports in line with client policies, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and system improvements.
  • Assess client policies to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • A Master's Degree is highly regarded.
  • CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years in public accounting, consulting, or relevant industry experience.
  • Proficient in general ledger accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and a strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities to build relationships and foster trust across all organizational levels, along with a strong client service focus.
