About This PositionAs a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will be pivotal in guiding clients through various complex projects to uphold accounting standards, practices, and procedures, ensuring the production of precise and timely financial reports.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the month-end closing process, which includes managing the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing account discrepancies.
- Direct operational accounting, reconciliation, and reporting, liaising with business partners to ensure prompt resolution of issues.
- Guarantee compliance with GAAP in accounting practices.
- Prepare and scrutinize monthly and quarterly reports as dictated by client policies, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and system improvements.
- Evaluate client policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
- A Master's Degree is preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
- Over 8 years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or relevant industry roles.
- Proficient in general ledger accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and a solid understanding of US GAAP.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities to cultivate relationships and build trust across all organizational levels, with a strong focus on client service.
- Flexible workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, and onsite options.
- Compensation aligned with qualifications, experience, and various factors including geographic location and market conditions.
- Pay Range: $70-$80/hr
