Position Overview

As a Senior Accounting Consultant, you will be pivotal in guiding clients through various complex projects, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, practices, and procedures while delivering precise and timely financial reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the month-end closing process, which includes managing the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, preparing and reviewing journal entries, conducting balance sheet reconciliations, and analyzing account discrepancies.
  • Lead operational accounting functions, including reconciliation and reporting, while collaborating with business partners to promptly resolve any issues.
  • Guarantee compliance with GAAP in all accounting treatments.
  • Generate and evaluate monthly and quarterly reports in line with client policies, identifying opportunities for process enhancements and system improvements.
  • Examine client policies to ensure compliance with SOX regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • CPA or CMA certification is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, consulting, or relevant industry roles.
  • Proficient in general ledger accounting, month-end closing, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and a strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation abilities to cultivate relationships and build trust across all organizational levels, coupled with a strong client service focus.
