Citizens Financial Group, Inc. is on the lookout for a Senior Vice President specializing in M&A with a focus on the Tech Services sector.

In recent years, Citizens has rapidly expanded its M&A franchise, and as part of our strategic vision, we are enhancing our M&A capabilities in sectors where we excel, aiming to establish nationally recognized M&A practices.

The Senior Vice President will oversee all stages of M&A transaction execution and will work closely with industry-specific Corporate Finance and Financial Sponsor Coverage teams to support current clients and generate new business opportunities.

This role is pivotal in advancing Citizens' advisory stature within the Tech Services domain. Responsibilities will also include strategic planning, recruitment, development, and retention of junior bankers, while promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence. Additionally, this individual will contribute to enhancing the visibility and thought leadership of the M&A practice both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all facets of client engagement, including directing and coordinating transaction execution, with a primary focus on developing and sustaining strategic advisory revenue.
  • Collaborate with relationship bankers, corporate finance sector specialists, private equity coverage bankers, and product experts on transactions and business development initiatives.
  • Engage with clients and prospects to generate ideas and develop transactions that align with corporate growth strategies.
  • Prospect and market to cultivate a network of relationships with owner/operators and private equity-backed firms.
  • Actively contribute to the development of junior bankers through hiring, onboarding, training, and mentoring.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in executing middle-market M&A transactions.
  • At least 6 years of experience in executing private equity-backed transactions with a comprehensive understanding of the relevant sponsor landscape.
  • Experience in the Tech Services sector is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage both internal teams and external client relationships.
Work Schedule:
  • Hours per Week: 40+
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
