As the Client Relations Specialist for Tax, we rely on you to deliver outstanding client service, streamline operations, and handle the administrative duties that bolster the Tax Department, while collaborating closely with Tax Advisors to enhance the overall client experience.

You will thrive in this role if you possess the ability to manage:

  • Client Engagement: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with clients, comprehending their needs and ensuring a superior client experience. This encompasses managing incoming and outgoing client communications through various channels and addressing client issues and inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Administrative Support Duties: Offer administrative assistance to the Tax Department. This includes onboarding new clients by establishing accounts and clarifying firm procedures, scheduling client meetings, preparing and organizing client documentation, aiding in the preparation and submission of tax documents, generating reports, and performing other administrative tasks as required.
  • Data and Project Oversight: Guarantee precise and timely entry of client information into our CRM/project management system. This involves maintaining accurate client records and files in accordance with firm policies and regulatory standards, as well as coordinating with the Tax Department to ensure all client deliverables are completed and dispatched punctually.
  • Team Collaboration: Act as a proactive member of the broader administrative team to support overall office operations and enhance client experience. This includes contributing ideas and insights during team discussions, identifying and resolving process and efficiency challenges, assisting in planning and executing office events, and providing backup support for other administrative team members.

On your first day, you should already have:

  • A high school diploma or GED (required).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a client service capacity with a proven track record of exceptional client service skills, emphasizing the understanding of client needs and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM/project management software (Canopy preferred).
  • A high comfort level in a technology-driven environment and adaptability to learn new technology/software/accounting systems.
  • Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritize efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • The capability to handle multiple projects/priorities and remain composed under pressure without compromising speed or accuracy in a deadline-oriented environment.

  • Experience in a CPA or Wealth Management firm.
  • An associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
