Compass Group USA is a leading provider of dining services across various sectors, known for its commitment to quality and innovation. Our division, Waveguide, specializes in audiovisual design, technology integration, and consulting services.

We are currently seeking a Lead AV Project Consultant to oversee a significant corporate project. This role requires a professional with extensive experience in audiovisual and IT systems, as well as a strong background in construction and high-end workplace technology installations.

Job Overview:

The Lead AV Project Consultant will be responsible for coordinating the technical aspects of AV/IT systems deployment during the construction of a new corporate headquarters. The ideal candidate will work closely with design and installation teams to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical deployment of AV/IT/Security systems for new construction and renovation projects.
  • Take ownership of project processes, continually seeking improvements and efficiencies.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of technology systems at client locations.
  • Assist in project delivery through effective meeting preparation, reporting, and coordination.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting any non-compliance issues.
  • Educate end users on presentation technologies and provide initial technical support.
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Troubleshoot audiovisual and videoconferencing technologies as needed.
  • Stay informed about current and emerging technologies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience managing AV/IT projects, preferably in a consulting capacity.
  • A degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., BSEE).
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist in Design or Installation (CTS-D, CTS-I).
  • Experience managing projects with budgets ranging from $2 to $5 million.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong understanding of AV technology applications and operations.
  • Familiarity with commercial building design and construction processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work on-site 3 to 5 days per week.
