Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled and proactive Quality Assurance and Safety Supervisor to join our team. This essential position is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive quality assurance and safety programs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of manufacturing operations, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Oversight:
  • Develop and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with internal and external benchmarks.
  • Analyze quality performance data to identify areas for enhancement.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to address quality challenges and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide training to staff on quality protocols and procedures.
2. Safety Management:
  • Establish and uphold Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) aligned with OHSAS standards.
  • Perform comprehensive safety audits and risk evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Design and deliver tailored health and safety training programs.
3. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and safety standards.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process enhancements.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of quality and safety metrics, audits, and incident reports.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on quality and safety performance to management.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory standards.
5. Leadership and Team Collaboration:
  • Provide leadership and direction to quality and safety teams.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality across the organization.
  • Work with various departments to ensure integrated quality and safety practices.
Qualifications
  • Strong management and supervisory skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to conduct effective training sessions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
  • Associate's degree in a relevant field is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in safety and/or security is essential.
  • Advanced safety and security training or certification is a plus.
