We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Safety Manager to join our manufacturing team. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality assurance and health and safety programs to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Quality Management**
- Develop, implement, and sustain a Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO standards.
- Conduct systematic quality audits to ensure rigorous compliance with internal and external standards.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide comprehensive training to employees on quality standards and procedures.
- **Health and Safety Management**
- Develop, implement, and maintain Health and Safety Management Systems (HSMS) by OHSAS standards.
- Conduct thorough health and safety audits and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver health and safety training programs tailored to organizational needs.
- **Continuous Improvement**
- Lead strategic continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and safety.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to spearhead process improvements.
- **Documentation and Reporting**
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality and safety performance, audits, inspections, and incident reports.
- Prepare and present insightful reports on quality and safety metrics to senior management.
- Ensure all documentation is current and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- **Leadership and Collaboration**
- Provide visionary leadership and guidance to quality and safety teams.
- Cultivate a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with other departments to consistently meet integrated quality and safety standards.
**Requirements**
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Extensive knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness.
- Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Associate's degree in Law Enforcement or Business Management required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least six years of safety and/or security experience is required.
- Advanced training or certification in safety and security is preferred.
