Role Summary:

The Senior Director of Sales for Retail Alternatives will be instrumental in fostering relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), banks, family offices, and various intermediary channels. This role is pivotal in establishing Wilshire as a premier provider of institutional-quality fund offerings. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, alternative investment teams, sales, client services, and product development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Wilshire's Retail Alternatives products.
  • Design and implement effective outreach initiatives and manage advisor relationships.
  • Communicate the advantages of incorporating high-quality private market investments into portfolio allocations.
  • Work in conjunction with the sales and marketing teams to create and refine sales materials, marketing collateral, and educational resources for advisors.
  • Maintain an organized CRM system and database for tracking prospects and client relationships.
  • Stay informed about market trends and developments in alternative retail products.
  • Engage relevant subject matter experts to facilitate and successfully close business transactions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the RIA, banking, and family office sectors, along with 5-10 years in direct sales and client service roles.
  • Proven success in selling interval or tender offer funds, Business Development Companies (BDCs), or private investments.
  • Established relationships with professional buyers and investment teams.
  • Thorough understanding of investment structures, purchasing cycles, and key distribution channels.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses are required.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and goal-driven individual.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Additional Information:
  • This position operates on a hybrid model.

The compensation for this role ranges from $170,000 to $250,000, with base pay determined based on various factors such as qualifications and experience. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full suite of health and financial benefits.
