Role Summary

The Senior Director of Sales, Retail Alternatives will be instrumental in fostering relationships with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), banking institutions, family offices, and various intermediary channels. This position presents a unique opportunity to influence a rapidly expanding segment of Wilshire's product offerings. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, alternative investment teams, client services, and product development to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and execute a robust sales strategy for Wilshire's Retail Alternatives products.
  • Establish and maintain effective outreach initiatives and advisor relationships.
  • Communicate the advantages of integrating high-quality private market investments into client portfolios.
  • Work alongside the sales and marketing teams to create and refresh sales materials and educational resources for advisors.
  • Manage the CRM system and maintain an organized database of prospects and client interactions.
  • Stay informed about market dynamics and trends related to alternative retail products.
  • Engage relevant subject matter experts to facilitate successful business transactions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience engaging with the RIA, banking, and family office sectors, along with 5-10 years in direct sales and client service roles.
  • Proven success in selling interval or tender offer funds, Business Development Companies (BDCs), or private investments.
  • Established relationships with professional buyers and investment teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of investment structures, purchasing cycles, and key distribution channels.
  • Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses is required.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and goal-driven individual.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

The compensation for this position ranges from $170,000 to $250,000, determined based on individual qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a complete suite of health and financial benefits.
