Primary Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing cross-functional project teams, ensuring the establishment of work priorities with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Overseeing all facets of complex engineering projects, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and timelines.
  • Preparing and reviewing project scopes and budget estimates for proposals.
  • Monitoring project budgets and managing project scope effectively.
  • Collaborating with management to assess project workloads, statuses, and staffing needs.
  • Serving as the Principal or Quality Control Reviewer on designated projects.
  • Mentoring and supervising team members, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Setting annual performance goals for team members and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Enhancing team skills through training and educational opportunities.
  • Engaging in project engineering tasks as necessary.
  • Working with management to identify new business opportunities and lead marketing initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional Engineering license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Active involvement in professional engineering organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with MS Office and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills.
