Primary Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineering Project Manager, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring that work priorities are established with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Plan, direct, and assess all facets of complex engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Prepare and review engineering scopes of work and cost estimates for project proposals.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and scopes effectively.
  • Collaborate with operational teams and management to evaluate project workloads and staffing needs.
  • Act as the Principal or Quality Control Reviewer on projects when necessary.
  • Mentor and supervise team members, providing guidance and support for new employees.
  • Work with direct reports to set annual performance goals and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Enhance team skills through training and development opportunities.
  • Perform engineering duties as required.
  • Collaborate with management to identify future project opportunities and lead business development initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional Engineering license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strategic planning capabilities.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Active involvement in professional engineering organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10 years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in project management roles.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with MS Office and project management tools.
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
