We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Engineer to lead our development team in achieving department and project objectives on medium to large projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading engineering, field auditing, data analysis processing, and financial modeling tasks during both preliminary and detailed development of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor Staff Engineers and Development Engineers to achieve business goals and deliver high-quality results.
- Conduct high-level detailed analysis on complex technical and financial elements to deliver the full capabilities of our offering through bundled programs.
- Support the team in achieving business goals by following our Solutions Playbook and Best Business Practices methodology.
- Establish and maintain ongoing partnerships with customers on assigned projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed development budgets and scopes, and work with internal and external partners to build energy savings models, cost estimates, and scopes of work.
- Prepare proposals and other customer communication documents, and utilize specialized functional expertise as a development team member.
- Perform on-site auditing and data collection at customer facilities as required, and lead cross-functional teams in the development of multiple components of the bundled sale.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, and remain current with relevant engineering or design standards and practices.
- Mentor less experienced Program Development staff, and provide post-contract design review support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Eight years or more experience in designing/selling building systems, energy modeling, construction, or facility management.
- Undergrad experience performing building modeling preferred.
- Function-specific licenses or certifications preferred.
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated subject matter expert (SME) in a minimum of 30 Facility Improvement Measures required.
- Possess strong analytical capabilities and ability to manage tasks associated with development of projects.
- Fully competent in analysis and assessment of facility mechanical and electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams, work effectively with others, drive for results, focus on the customer, and act professionally and ethically.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in customer-facing situations.
- Solid computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Sharepoint sites, building energy modeling tools, and benchmarking tools.
