Job Summary:

The GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our team at the East Central Regional Hospital. As a Risk Manager, you will be responsible for managing hospital safety and security risks, overseeing incident management processes, and promoting a safe working environment for individuals and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage hospital safety and security risks, including conducting risk assessments and developing corrective action plans.
  • Oversee incident management processes, including investigating and reporting incidents, and developing performance improvement initiatives to improve patient and staff safety and quality of care.
  • Supervise Incident Managers and provide guidance on incident management processes.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Improvement Manager and hospital leaders to develop performance improvement initiatives.
  • Actively participate in assigned hospital system meetings and contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in healthcare management or a related field.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% within the state hospital system.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in risk management, quality improvement, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of hospital safety and security regulations and standards.
  • Certifications in risk management or a related field.
